Description

In Student led IEP meetings, the spotlight is on the most important person in the process: the student.

Students with IEPs attend their IEP meetings when it’s time for transition services, and that typically starts in middle school. But why aren’t we preparing our students for this when they are in elementary school? Why are they not involved sooner, and what about our students who are nonverbal or even moderately disabled? How can we get them involved, and what does it even look like?

Enter: Student Led IEP Meeting Toolkit. The only resource you need to get your students more involved in their learning and show the IEP Team (and most importantly the parents!) how much progress the child has made.

  1. TRAYCEE B. –

    Awesome resource!

  2. Catherine Mullen –

This is a great resource! It seems like it is missing a couple pages though. I was expecting to have a template for the students to glue their visual responses for all of the questions as well. Glad I purchased though.

  9. Melissa Natter –

I am a proponent of student led IEP meetings, even at a young age. This was a great set-up for helping my 2nd grade student be involved in his IEP. I also used it as a tool to convince my administration that it was appropriate to involve young children in their IEP meetings.

  10. Zoey’s Teaching Place –

Nice resource for the lower level kids. But I was hoping it would work more for my higher level high school students as well. My fault for not reading thoroughly enough, it is clearly marked.
