Description
In Student led IEP meetings, the spotlight is on the most important person in the process: the student.
Students with IEPs attend their IEP meetings when it’s time for transition services, and that typically starts in middle school. But why aren’t we preparing our students for this when they are in elementary school? Why are they not involved sooner, and what about our students who are nonverbal or even moderately disabled? How can we get them involved, and what does it even look like?
Enter: Student Led IEP Meeting Toolkit. The only resource you need to get your students more involved in their learning and show the IEP Team (and most importantly the parents!) how much progress the child has made.

So excited to use these for my middle schoolers! I know parents and admin will all be impressed with the kids helping out already, even though it isn’t technically required at this point. 🙂

I am so excited to try this out with my kids!! I have been wanting to try student led conferences and IEPs, but haven’t gotten around to figuring out how it would work with my students with significant disabilities. These differentiated materials are perfect! Thanks!

Watched your Facebook Live video and it was so inspiring. I can’t wait to use this with my kiddos… especially my 6th graders who are transitioning to middle school! I know they will get a lot out of it.

This is awesome. Being from NY students were attending meeting from 3rd grade on. Now I GA IEP team were a little taken aback when I brought my child to the meeting. It was what the child was sued to doing. When teacher stated my child could not something that I knew was “questionable” I was able to ask child directly to confirm or deny teacher comment. Teacher could also see modeling that child was familiar with. Can’t wait to start using this resource.

AMAZING! Thank you so much for creating this resource. I am a huge advocate for self-advocacy with every student. This is the BEST product I have found to help students have a voice and sharing what they like and don’t like. I have been to lots of IEP meetings and this adds a new element to help students get involved in a positive way. Thank you so much for creating another wonderful product to help every student.
