This resource was easy and fast to set up! I love that it had the words I wanted to use to describe how I wanted it to without having to come up with it myself. I used this for participation with some 1st and 2nd grade students that are hard to give grades for. It’s also easy enough for my paraprofessionals to use and share progress with students.

I just got done with a collaboration meeting with our first grade teachers! This resource was a fabulous talking point about how to take grades for our students with disabilities and communicate grades effectively with parents. Grades are new to students and parents in first grade to having this resource gives a jumping off point for modified grading. I also plan to implement participation grades during my special education pull out time as an alternative grade for teachers to utilize for class assignments they may have missed. Thank you so much!

  19. Nicole B. –

I love these rubrics! I have used them in special education and general classroom settings. They are useful for students to self-monitor their habits, as well as for evaluating student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
