The Story Behind The Intentional IEP

Flashback to the end of May 2019. I was having a conversation with another teacher friend about how I wanted to help teachers write better IEPs for their students. Not only that, I wanted to help teachers write compliant, rockstar IEPs quicker than ever before so they can spend less time working, and more time living.

After sitting on the idea for a few weeks, The Intentional IEP was born.

You see, I love the paperwork that comes along with being a special education teacher. I love taking data on IEP goals and student mastery. And I love helping other teachers.

But I also know first hand how little “extra” time we have during the school day. I know how much work we take home each night against our own better judgement. And I know how frustrating and overwhelming the whole IEP writing process can be.

Intentional. “Done with a purpose. Deliberate.”

Ya’ll, The Intentional IEP lights my teacher soul on fire. I truly feel that it has given me a new purpose on our not-so-very-little special ed island. TII allows me to help you, teach you, and give you more of your time back so you can do more of the things you love in and out of the classroom.
