DonorsChoose.org has been supporting teachers through 2000, making it easy to anyone to donate to classrooms in need. As a special education teacher, DonorsChoose is a great option for getting your students and your classroom the supplies, materials, and resources needed to be successful… including your The Intentional IEP membership.
Let us help you through the process of building your first DonorsChoose project to getting it funded.
Step 1: Log in to DonorsChoose or create an account by clicking “Sign Up”.
Step 2: Once you’re logged into your DonorsChoose account, click on “Create a Project”.
Step 3: Describe your project. Make sure you are specific and provide a lot of details for how your project will impact your students in a positive way.
You can download and use this sample wording to get you started!
Step 4: Set a funding goal.
To cover your yearly The Intentional IEP membership, you will enter $198.97. We do not charge shipping (it is a digital membership) or taxes.
Step 5: Choose your school, making sure all school information is correct and updated.
Step 6: Submit your project for review.
DonorsChoose will review your project to make sure it aligns with their policies and guidelines.
If your special project is not approved to start, try getting a couple of smaller projects funded first. Then try getting your special project approved again.
Step 7: Share your project with others via social media and word of mouth.
Step 8: Once your project is completed, you’re ready to gain access to your new TII Membership!
